Canal house Haarlem

1890 is the year of construction of this building that actually consists of 2 parts. One building used to be a barbershop with an apartment above and the narrow part at the right side was a greengrocer in the distant past.

These two buildings have been merged into 1 large house on a quiet canal in the center of Haarlem.
The new owner wanted to renovate the entire building and asked IJzersterk Interieurontwerp to help. The entire property has been modernized from top to bottom; new kitchen, new wooden floors, all electricity, all walls plastered, cabinets removed, etc.

For the interior he wanted a lot of color and an inviting sofa, so that was the starting point.
The wall covering with traditional Japanese design from Mind the Gap immediately gives the room character and warmth.

For the hall, colorful tiles were chosen for the floor. All the rooms have a wall in a specific color to add color.
